Entrapment "Ladies and gentlemen, we got (caught?) him [applause]..." That's what I heard on BBC Radio One. A cheap way to annouce such an important event. (I didn't hear Blair's words, hope he was better. Bush is really expressing his Texasian blood) Many people took it as a bell toll for other dictators who neglect public opinion, many others still believe Saddam is not a person to be captured this easy, and our captive is just a lookalike (They have taken DNA test indeed, but who can guarantee the control DNA is not of a lookalike??) If this guy is the real Saddam, I think it's reasonable to expect street-shots and explosions fade gradually, whilst there is still a chance that the anti-American feelings in Iraq still stay strong, leading to a widespread objection against them. (Who knows, maybe even Europe back them. They have enough motives to do so) Comments from ordinary Arab natives are also interesting: "...we wish it were the Iraqi people who had captured him, not U.S. troops, because this will give Bush a boost in the upcoming election..." I would follow this tip if I were Bush, and in case I found out that the captive is a lookalike, I would conceal it until the election is over. Arabs (maybe excluding Iraqis) have quite reasonable motives to be sad for seeing the pride of Arabs(?) is down by non-Muslim invaders, but Iranians don't: They are celebrating it by distributing sweets in streets. I assume there are some people in Iran who dislike what has happened since they fear it may encourage US to invade Iran, but in long run Iranians have lost nothing: They have got rid of a maniac neighbor, and if our new neighbor makes any trouble, it's our diplomacy who has to save us...
